Background

I am a recent graduate with a Master’s in Architecture from the University of Oregon, with specializations in Housing Design and Urban Architecture and Urban Design. My academic background includes studying art and architectural history at the University of Edinburgh, as well as hands-on experience in design, research, and community engagement. I have worked on projects focused on sustainable, inclusive spaces. I am passionate about creating meaningful, human-centered environments and am currently seeking opportunities that align with my values in architecture and design.

    In 2022, I had the opportunity to work on design projects for David and Marianne Cunningham in Hawaii, where I contributed to the development of residential spaces. This experience allowed me to apply my architectural skills in a real-world setting, focusing on creating designs that were responsive to the unique climate and cultural context of Hawaii. Collaborating with a general contractor and various tradespeople, I gained valuable insights into design practices and how to integrate local materials and environmental considerations into my work.

I had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy and Japan, where I deepened my understanding of global architectural practices and gained a unique perspective on cultural influences in design. My coursework emphasized a deep understanding of human experiences within spaces, focusing on research and analysis through qualitative and quantitative methods. I developed strong skills in observation, sketching, data analysis, and formulating design concepts, often collaborating with peers on field studies, interviews, and focus groups. I also gained hands-on experience in construction through the BILDS program, helping build homes for low-income families. My academic journey shaped my analytical thinking and passion for creating spaces that foster community and well-being.
