Background

I have worked with AutoCAD for over 20 years, originally teaching myself AutoCAD in high school. I have held positions as Drafter, CAD Manager, Systems Manager, Trainer, Renderer, 3d modeler and ACAD go-to person. I have an extensive background in creating both 2d and 3d renderings using a variety of software which has included Accurender, Max, Rhino, Painter, Corel, and I rely on Nxt for 3d, M-Color for 2d and Photoshop for post. I also use other Adobe software for creating web pages, layouts and presentations. My work includes projects of high end custom residential to sweat equity housing. Recently I’ve worked on mid-rise podium style apartment buildings in Portland and commercial, TI, hospital, senior housing, solar, fire systems and electrical layouts. Additionally, I taught AutoCAD in college settings. I’ve developed office standards, parts menus, managed up to 22 drafters, and helped offices improve efficiency. Of course there is much more to myself than just computers and I actually do occasionally tear myself away from the monitor. I enjoy getting out of the office and going hiking and biking. In addition, I have a degree in culinary arts having graduated from Le Cordon Bleu with double honors because I love cooking and baking. I can also be found in in the local Lego community where run the architectural theme for our local Lego convention, Bricks Cascade, where this year we had over 12,500 attendees and I write articles for the Lego sponsored blog BrickArchitect.com.
