Background

Mark Cruz is a Portland-Based Architect, Educator and Project Manager with a varied background and experience in Multi-Family, Institutional, and High End Residential Architecture. His +20 years of experience in Architecture, Construction Trades, Architectural Visualization, BIM Consulting, and Design Education outline his strengths in a range of aesthetic, technical, and entitlement coordination skills. He can interface closely with any scale of project team, at any phase. His motivational philosophy is founded on the principles of efficiency, collaboration, and cooperation even in the stress of a shifting and complex budget or schedules. Mark received his Master of Architecture from UCLA-AUD, where he studied urban design, real estate development, and Architecture with a focus in Real Estate Development at the Anderson School of Management.  He has worked in multiple small and mid-size firms and in joint collaboration with Architects. He currently maintains a small Consulting and Architecture Practice in HI, CA, and OR, and mentors Interns through NCARB accreditation. He is looking for Project-Based Architectural and Consulting opportunities throughout the Pacific Northwest and is accustomed to weekly travel for Project and Office coordination.
