Design Professional (2-4 years experience)

PIVOT Architecture seeks a design professional with 2–4 years of experience. We are searching for a candidate with a passion for good design, a spirit of collaboration, and an eagerness to learn and contribute to a lively work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will:

  • Work in a team-based environment where you are an active member in all phases of project development
  • Be engaged in a wide variety of projects including education, adaptive reuse, multi-modal transit facilities, workspaces, affordable housing, and public and private development
  • Work collaboratively with our firm to apply your creative, critical thinking skills to our project work
  • Bring an eye for detail, the ability to listen and translate client needs, and the ability to iterate design ideas
  • Develop a fluency to work independently and across multiple project teams
  • Contribute to our founding design ethos of "strong bones, warm heart"
  • Contribute to outcomes that consider environmental impacts, client goals, and spatial delight

Qualifications

  • Professional degree from an accredited school in architecture (required)
  • 2–4 years of experience
  • Self-motivated, with proven design skills evident in a strong portfolio
  • Experience producing design and construction documentation is desired
  • Our design and documentation process is Revit based, with support from hand media, Adobe Creative Suite, and various 3D rendering and animation programs; proficiency with those formats and strong technical skills are preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Communicates clearly and effectively — verbally and in writing — with project teams, clients, and consultants
  • Manages assigned tasks with care for schedule, detail, and quality, and keeps the project team informed along the way
  • Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the Eugene, OR area
